This is one good utility that I found useful to test my laptop temperature.
The application is known as SpeedFan. It gives you real time temperature reports of your harddisk, motherboard etc. I have no idea about the advanced settings though and didn’t have time to dig in through.

Most of the guys will know about this, but so many people have asked me how to delete pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys. You will find both these files hidden under your C:\ drive if you have enabled virtual memory and hibernation.
